This competition is an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Rugby League League players to showcase their talent at an elite level.
Tribal League helps create pathways for Indigenous Men and Women at all levels of Rugby League, to ensure opportunities continue to exist at the elite levels
The first ever National Indigenous Rugby League competition, Tribal League, took place over 3 weekends in November 2020. A total of 6 Mens Teams and 4 Womens teams participated in the competition culminating in a Grand Final.

In 2020 five male Players successfully gained NRL contracts/Train & Trial contracts based on their performances in Tribal League.
From the women's Tribal League multiple Players secured selection in Harvey Norman NSW Premiership Teams, QLD BHP Premiership Teams, and the inaugural First Nations Gems Team which competed at National Women's Championships in Redcliffe.
